It’s hard to believe Ark Academy has been open for one year. It has been a fantastic year, too. When we started this school, our hope was to meet the needs of the community and serve people by giving them good and affordable education. Our growth has been just fantastic. After only one year, we’re now working with so many students of all ages. It’s a real blessing.

As Ark Academy continues in Sanda, our challenge is not only attracting students and meeting their educational needs, but also learning how to grow. We are now managing many classes with different ages, full of people with different learning styles. Improving our quality of service is always important to us.

Our toddler program has been working so well. I’m really happy to see the young students speaking so much English. Our kids classes are really prospering in growth and energy. I’m excited to see how much our kindergarten and elementary school children are going to advance this year.

As we grow, we feel more busy, but we also learn to manage things more efficiently. But the earthquake and tsunami disaster has been heavy on our hearts. We grieve for the families who lost loved ones and for those who are still suffering in the disaster area. We are blessed to have American missionary friends who are volunteering to transport food and supplies and give comfort to those in need. It’s a great time to come together and support each other in love.

Our prayers go out to Japan to persevere in this time of crisis. And we pray for our students to grow and prosper as well.
