Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a Shorinji Kempo Karate tournament. It was a big event for 三田市 and there were lots of participants. The event involved many schools all under 橋本Ryuushin先生. Ryuushin先生 was generous enough to introduce me at the tournament as his guest and promote Ark Academy.
The tournament was a tournament of forms. The sparring tournament is held in the fall. The participants were all ages from children to adults. There were certainly some impressive students and a lot of intensity.
I’m looking forward to a barbeque at my Sifu’s house next week. Ryuushin先生 will be there too. I’m interested to see what those two will be like with a few beers in them.
